About Us

Our Pak’nyaw (Karen) tribal ancestors engaged in agriculture in highland areas and led a
simple, tranquil life. They possessed a unique culture, language, and beliefs, which they passed
down to us, along with their expertise in wilderness survival and knowledge of herbal plants.
Our philosophy is deeply linked to nature. We believe in conserving our environment and as a
result, enjoy a great level of self-sufficiency in harmony with nature. In the past, our community
worked with elephants, forming a longstanding bond with them. Elephants were used in
agriculture and timber industries. Today, the involvement of elephants in our work has
decreased, but many communities still employ elephants.
Wehave a dual mission: to elevate the lives of those in our local tribal community; and to
provide elephants with a rewarding environment, a sense of purpose, and industry-leading
quality care.
Amid rapid global changes, we believe our small organization can contribute to making this
world a better place
